Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Split Stack, your subscription, and what goes into (and stays out of) your soap.

The Product

Six hexagonal bars of cold-process soap fused into a single stack. Each bar lasts about two weeks — break one off when you need it, store the rest in the tube under your sink.

Five ingredients. Saponified palm oil (firm base), saponified coconut oil (deep-cleaning lather), saponified olive oil (moisturizing finish), French green clay (draws out sweat residue via ionic adsorption), and eucalyptus essential oil (cooling sensation on contact). No synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no fillers.

Yes. Every ingredient is all-natural. The oils are organic and the soap is made using the cold-process method, which preserves the natural properties of each ingredient.

Eucalyptus — clean, cooling, and invigorating. The scent comes entirely from eucalyptus essential oil. No synthetic fragrance blends or added perfumes.

Yes. Additional scents are in development and will be offered as limited drops to existing subscribers first.

Most soaps are designed for general use — they clean surface dirt and add fragrance. Split is formulated specifically for skin that sweats hard and often. French green clay targets sweat residue and excess oils that regular soap leaves behind, and eucalyptus creates a cooling sensation that feels like a reset after a tough session. If your skin works overtime, your soap should too.

Split is formulated with five simple, all-natural ingredients and contains no synthetic fragrances, parabens, or sulfates. That said, everyone's skin is different — that's why every first order ships with a sample bar so you can try it before committing.

Split is formulated for the body, not the face. Facial skin is thinner and more sensitive — we recommend using a dedicated facial cleanser instead.

Three reasons. The rounded hex shape is easier to hold in a wet hand than a flat slab, it fits flush inside the kraft tube without wasted space, and the geometry is easier to mold consistently than a freeform bar. Form following function — not the other way around.

Subscription & Pricing

The quarterly subscription is $59 per stack (6 bars) with free shipping — that works out to $0.65/day. One-time purchase is $79 plus $7.25 shipping.

Yes. A one-time purchase option is available at $79 per stack plus shipping. Subscribing saves you 25% and includes free shipping.

By default, one stack ships every 90 days — six bars at roughly two weeks each covers a full quarter. Once your account is set up, you'll be able to adjust delivery frequency anytime to match your pace.

Anytime. No penalties, no fees, no hoops. You can pause or cancel directly from your account.

Shipping & Returns

Orders ship within 3–5 business days. All subscription orders include free shipping.

Not yet. We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is on the roadmap.

Unopened tubes can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. The stack must be fully intact in order to receive the refund.

Every first order includes a complimentary 1oz sample bar nested in the cap, above the sealed tube. Try the sample without breaking the seal — if Split isn’t for you, return the unopened tube for a full refund.

Ingredients & Safety

French green clay detoxifies skin by drawing out sweat residue, excess oils, and the odor-causing bacteria that get trapped in pores after training. The mechanism is ionic adsorption — the clay's negative surface charge binds positively-charged buildup and lifts it off your skin. It's why Split feels deeper-cleaning than a regular bar.

Eucalyptus essential oil does three jobs at once: delivers a cooling, invigorating sensation on contact (the active compound, eucalyptol, is fat-soluble, so it penetrates skin even in a rinse-off format), combats odor-causing bacteria on the skin, and is the active compound behind a body of research on anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity in the published literature. The fresh scent is a side effect of the functional ingredient — not added fragrance.

Yes — beyond standard cleansing. The French green clay draws sweat residue and the bacteria that produce body odor out of pores, while eucalyptol — a documented antimicrobial against odor-causing skin bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus — combats new bacterial growth on contact. For athletes whose training schedule has outpaced their soap, this is the difference.

Eucalyptol — the active compound in eucalyptus oil and Split's signature ingredient — has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity, including the inhibition of inflammatory pathways tied to muscle soreness. Split is a soap, not a treatment, but the cooling reset it delivers post-training is part of why athletes build it into their recovery ritual.

Yes. All ingredients are plant-derived or mineral-based, and Split is never tested on animals.

Split is made with certified organic plant oils. However, we cannot label the product as "organic" under USDA rules because not all ingredients (such as French green clay, a mined mineral) qualify for organic certification.

Because every ingredient should earn its place. Most soaps use 15–20 ingredients — many of which exist for shelf stability, fragrance complexity, or cost savings, not for your skin. We start with what your skin needs after training and stop there.
